Alliance Technologies Hosts Citrix Geek Speak Road Trip

If you attended the Citrix Synergy 2008 event, then you are aware of the craze over Geek Speak Live.

Sponsored by Citrix, Alliance Technologies brought Geek Speak to Des Moines, giving you facilitated learning from thought leaders and tech experts, including renowned author Douglas Brown, technical evangelist Barry Flanagan, system architect and industry pundit Jason Conger and Alliance Technologies' very own Michael Keen.

This open forum event gave the audience the chance to run the show and included discussions and input from experts in the delivery infrastructure community.

About Douglas Brown
Douglas Brown worked at Citrix Systems, Inc. as a Senior Systems Engineer from 2001 to 2004 at which time he was voted Systems Engineer of the Year 2002 by his peers and management at Citrix. He was awarded the Microsoft MVP (Most Valuable Professional) by Microsoft Corporation in 2005 through 2008 for his contributions to the industry. He was also a charter award winner of the Citrix Technology Professional (CTP) for his continued support of the Citrix community.

Mr. Brown authored the popular “Methodology in a Box” book covering best practice project management in a Citrix deployment and developed Advanced Print Manager, a software application for the management of printers in a server based computing environment. Doug started the very successful DABCC Radio, a virtualization podcast show where he interviews the movers and shakers in the virtualization world.

Mr. Brown has earned worldwide recognition for his dedication to providing server-based computing and virtualization professionals with proven solutions for implementation, infrastructure design, time-saving utilities, performance tips and best practices. About Barry Flanagan
As a Citrix employee since 2000, Barry spent four years in field sales as a Systems Engineer, after which he moved into Business Development as a Global Technical Alliances Manager. Barry is currently a Technology Evangelist who focuses on XenServer, XenDesktop, and Provisioning Server. Barry blogs extensively about topics relating to application delivery, and with posts including over 150,000 total views in the first four and a half months of 2008, Barry's opinions are well sought after.

About Jason Conger
Jason is a system architect and industry pundit. Jason's website (www.jasonconger.com) is centered on his own experiences with Server Based Computing environments utilizing a variety of technologies.
Jason Conger specializes in Server Based Computing and .NET technologies. Previous experience includes the design implementation of Citrix farms and products for a Platinum Citrix partner. Jason has also made guest appearances at iForum and Solutions Summit.

As the Senior Solutions Architect at Alliance Technologies, Michael has over ten years of experience in the field of business and information technology, including Citrix Application Delivery infrastructure design, implementation, administration and consulting.
